Louisiana death metal trio FAUSTIAN have released their devastating second single, "Communion With Shadows," now available on all major DSPs and YouTube. The band's self-titled debut EP is dropping Oct. 7 via Black Lion Records.

"In the band's opinion, 'Communion With Shadows' is definitely the meanest and most visceral track on the EP," says vocalist and guitarist Dallas Smith. Recorded by James Whitten (Thou, High on Fire, Eyehategod), Faustian delivers a unique style of blackened death that seamlessly shifts from razor-sharp maelstrom to dirge-like grime as the three-piece meld violent urgency and claustrophobic atmosphere into a frenzied sonic catharsis. The band states, “FAUSTIAN are honored to have found a home in Black Lion Records.
